New ultrasound photos of Evelyn. She is doing great, weighing around 7 pounds, 1 ounce right now. We are not too sure who she looks like and can't wait for her to come out so we can figure it out!!! 13 days to go to scheduled c-section!!!!

Evelyn's Room

We finally made the finishing touches on Evelyn's room this weekend. We did a ladybug theme and I think it turned out great. Because we are in the rental we didn't do any paint on the walls - other than needing some color on the walls I think it looks nice.

Josiah was pretty proud to help Mommy and Daddy set up the room!!!

A day with Thomas the Train

Just recently, Josiah has become OBSESSED with trains and in particular Thomas the Train. He started this obsession maybe 3 weeks ago and already has three Thomas Movies, several Thomas books, a Thomas placemat, bowl and cup, several Thomas trains, and a few Thomas the Train outfits. And if that is not enough, Mommy found out that Thomas was turning 65 years old this year and was celebrating it at the Golden Train Museum September 11th, 12th, 18th, 19th, 25th, and 26th. SO - we had to go!!!! We were lucky to have Mima, Papa, Nayla, Papa, Kaylee, Kristi, Richard, Jimmy, Mary Louise, Tessa and us all go on Sunday the 19th. It was a very hot day - I think we even hit a record, but that certainly didn't bother Josiah. He was thrilled. Mommy made the mistake of telling him on Saturday that we were going to see Thomas, and he was so excited that he woke up at 3am and told me he was ready to go!!

On the bus - headed to see Thomas!!!

There was so much to see, other than Thomas. We got there a few hours early so we could see the other trains and do the other activities, too.

Josiah got to ring the bell

Nayla, Papa, and Josiah

There was also a petting zoo - Josiah loves animals and is fearless of them. Freaks Mommy out a bit, but he did good.

After the petting zoo, playing with kid size trains, getting Thomas tattoos, watching model trains go round and round....it was time to ride on Thomas!!!!

Richard, Kristi, and Jimmy
Even Mommy and Daddy are excited!!!
This is right when we started moving - Josiah was SOOOO excited!!! Can you tell???
We even got to meet Sir Topham Hatt and Thomas up close and personal. The kids were super happy.

It was a great day - one in which Josiah will always remember!!! Now a few days later and he is still asking when he will get to see Thomas again.

Supporting the Cowboys

We all know Tommy loves the Cowboys and with that his kids will too!! Here are a few shots of the boys supporting the Dallas Cowboys - too bad they are currently 0-2. But maybe they will kick up their game soon!!

Josiah Update

Josiah started preschool/daycare August 2nd at Peace with Christ Lutheran Church. He is doing great and loving school. The first day, he told me "School is fun". He goes Tuesday through Thursday each week. We had to get him potty-trained before he could attend and for 2.5 years old he is doing awesome!!

Josiah misses being with Mima and Kaylee but we make sure to have playdates with both of them. One Saturday we took Kaylee and Josiah to the water park near the house they had a great time. Need to do it again soon.
Josiah is excited about being a big brother some of the time, but usually doesn't seem to care all that much. He is such a Mama's Boy that I am worried what will happen when the baby does come, but we will figure it out! I think Josiah will be a great big brother!!!

Baby Evelyn's Baby Shower

Well here I go - one of my first posts for you. Finally something exciting happened - giving me an opportunity to post. My best friend, Amanda, threw me an awesome baby shower for Evelyn Elizabeth on September 4th. The theme was perfect - "A baby is a blessing".
(My mom got the cake from Sam's Club - it was amazing!! Do you think my piece is big enough?)
We were truly blessed with lots of friends and family able to come, even though it was a holiday weekend. (Sorry to the ones that missed, since I didn't even realize it was a holiday weekend until way after the fact...must be pregnancy brain.) Tommy's cousin, Christina, and my good friend, Kristi, both made diaper cakes which turned out amazing.
Amanda knows me so well and knows that I love Chocolate - the favors were "Hugs and Kisses from Evelyn"
We were blessed with a lot of cute baby girl clothes and necessities for Evelyn. She has plenty of diapers now and lots of pink. I never thought I would love all the pink - but after having a boy, the pink is very refreshing!! We are decorating her room in lady bugs, and now have everything we need for that. I will post pictures of her room soon. We also got a new Stand-n-Sit stroller from my mother-in-law and sister-in-law that we will put to great use.

There were three pregnant ladies at the shower. My friend Amanda is also expecting a little girl, due in January. And my good friend Kristin Bacheldor is expecting twin boys in December or January. My sister who was unable to attend is expecting identical twin boys in October or November.
Amanda was amazing and threw a great shower for me. She is an awesome friend and I can't thank her enough for all that she does for me. Love you lady!!!
