Easter 2011

We celebrated Easter with the Probasco side on Saturday April 23rd. It was a nice night eating Mexican food and playing games!!

On Easter Sunday we went to church as a family - Josiah had a good time in his Sunday Class and learned about Jesus dying and his resurrection!! He walked around the rest of the day saying "Jesus lives in me!!" It was pretty cute. After church we celebrated with the Kucharyson side. We had a brunch and visited with family. Overall it was a great weekend!!!

We bought a HOUSE!!!!

We bought a house in Smoky Ridge - near Smoky Hill and Himalaya. It is what Josiah refers to as the "Blue House". It is 2500 sf on the main two levels and 1000 sf in the basement. 4 bedrooms, 3 baths. The house was built in 1993. We are not going to move in to it right away as we feel it needs some work done to it. Mainly updating. Before we move in at the end of May we are going to get new carpet in the entire house, paint the entire house, gut the kitchen and get all new stuff, change out the back door, and re-do the 3/4 bath on the main level. Below are some pictures of the house - I will update the blog with during and after pictures of the remodel. We are very excited and plan to live here for at least the next 10 years. Our neighbors have all already introduced themselves - very welcoming neighborhood so far - makes me very happy!!!!

We bought the house on Friday April 22nd. That night we started tearing out the carpet and kitchen. Josiah was a big help to Daddy.

Glenwood Springs - April 16th and 17th

The Probasco side decided to take a quick trip to Glenwood Springs. It was a lot of fun and Evelyn's first time in a pool. She loved it, but it was probably because the water was so warm. We got to Glenwood around 1pm and decided to head directly to the Hot Springs. After that we went to dinner and relaxed at the hotel.

Sunday we woke up and went to the hotel pool. Then we went to the mall for the kids to play before the long trip back home.

Evelyn turns 6 months old - April 10, 2011

Evelyn turned 6 months old on April 10th. We went to the doctor for her check-up April 12th. She weighed 14 pounds, 6 ounces (18% for weight). She is sitting up so well now and rolling all over the place. She wants to crawl but not quite there yet. The doctor was very pleased with how good Evelyn's lungs sound, and said that she wouldn't even have known she was so sick a month ago. I thought that was AWESOME news. God blessed us with that.

Evelyn is eating twice a day now. We are moving pretty slow with it. She has had rice cereal, sweet potatoes and peas. Now that she is 6 months old and sitting up so well we decided she was big enough to take a bath with Josiah. We still made her sit in her little tub, but it was cute to see them together in one tub.

A day at the Zoo!!

Saturday April 2nd was a BEAUTIFUL day!! We wanted to get out and have a great family day!! Thanks to my mom and my sister we had free passes to go to the Zoo!!! We were so blessed because instead of having to wait in a ridiculously long line, we just walked right in with our guest passes. Josiah was so excited to see the animals and ride the train!! This was Evelyn's first time to the zoo so we made sure that she was awake for some of it!! Josiah loved the Giraffes and Elephants the most....but if you ask him, he would say his favorite thing at the zoo was the train. =) Enjoy some pictures of our day!!
